Morning Coffee Thoughts

Having my morning coffee and off to start another day. I'm thinking of ending this blog, but my husbands advises me not to. He knows that I always find something Ill want to share and be sorry this blog isn't there any more.

When I started this journal last March, I've reached so many people from around the world. I was amazed by all the heart warming comments I've gotten and how I helped or cheered someone up from one of my posts.

The only reason why I'm thinking of ending this blog, is because I feel that I've written all I could about what nutrition, hydration, exercise, and meditation could help alleviate the discomfort of Dystonia. At this moment all I would be writing about now is my aches and pains, how great I'm feeling, or about the start of my life coaching career, and that isn't what this blog is about.

So, as I take a rest from this blog, please keep sending me comments or emails if you have something you want to say, ask, or have me post on this blog about Dystonia.

Have an amazing day everyone!!!!

More Teens Need to Ride

At the high school, picking my son up, and look what I see. One bike chained to the bike rack. With all the kids attending this high school, only one kid rode to school. Sad!!!!!

What An Amazing Lunch

My son and I went to The Grill Fire for lunch today. The weather was perfect, our lunches were perfect, and so were our conversations.

Today was a good day!

Treatment Update

Today I had my treatments with Dr. Schwartz. As he was preparing the Botox, my husband and I asked him a bunch of questions about Dystonia. Bottom line...it's a disease that's not going away any time in the near future. I asked Dr. Schwartz about articles that Ive read on how certain foods and vitamins may help Dystonia, and he just smiled. Im not going to lie, but my heart sank a little. I was hoping he would say, "Yes, take 4 tablespoons of coconut oil and you're Dystonia will disappear!" lol My change in diet and all the exercise I do is great for my overall health, so I'm going to continue what I've started.

I'll be back in his office in three months to do this allllllllllll over again! :)

Ouch, My Neck Hurts!

This morning I woke up completely soar. Tomorrow is my appointment with Dr Schwartz, so I'll be able to feel more comfortable again soon. I've been blogging about vitamins, mercury, wheat allergies, coconut oil, and many other things that I've researched and found that may help or aggravate Dystonia. I want to hear it from my neurologist and hear what he has to say, and I'll blog later tomorrow and give you the scoop from him.

I've spoken with him before and he told me that my brain is sending messages to my muscles, telling them to contract the way they do. In other words, I believe he was trying to tell me that exercise will help and a diet is great to keep my muscles healthy and relaxed, but there's nothing at the moment found by doctors or scientists that are able to tell my brain to stop my muscles from contracting. I guess I'm like everyone else with any kind of disorder that's causing discomfort. We want to desperately find that magic pill that will make it go away!

I'm off to do yoga and feel good again.
